A Child’s Garden of Seeds, Various
Hope springs eternal, and with luck so will our garden this summer. Alicia and I sat down over breakfast at my house and, perhaps under the influence of lots of caffeine, placed our orders from the Fedco catalog. Here’s what we’re planning: Green beans: Prov

There are other ways to still enjoy the benefits of your own harvest that require about half of the time, energy and most importantly, space. One of those alternatives is the unique Topsy Turvy Upside Down
Deluxe Greenhouse Gardening
At Seedy Saturday this afternoon, I had a chance to once again check out SunPod’s deluxe FSC certified wood greenhouses and I fell in love all over again. I had a chance to first see a SunPod up at Hollyhock at a business conference last Fall and was pretty enamoured at the time, but as the end of February rolls past and sunny days of summer gardening are the kind of day dreams that keep you warm through winter, I’m really smitten. While the photos of SunPods are lovely, to experience them i

Local Booty and Garden Update - 2/19-2/28/09
It is hard to believe that it is already the last day of February, but here it is, time sure seems to fly as you get older. Anyways, after doing something I rarely forget to do - go to the Root Cellar when we need something - I remembered to stop by yesterday after work and was able to score some good finds. A lot of the produce isn’t local, but it is winter in Missouri, what are you going to do? Since not a whole lot is happening on the garden front, until things pick up, I will be doing joint
